Yesterday, Ter Stegen left the team’s camp in Jeddah to travel back to Barcelona for medical tests after experiencing muscle pain, which resulted in his omission from the squad for the tournament.
Surprising everyone, the German goalkeeper shared a video on his official account on the “X” platform, showcasing himself engaging in intensive training with great enthusiasm.
In the video, Ter Stegen commented, “Everything is fine. I completed a morning training session in Barcelona, and now I am returning to Jeddah to rejoin the team.”
Meanwhile, Catalan newspaper “Sport” reported that Ter Stegen had to leave training early due to physical discomfort. There were also rumors of advanced negotiations for his transfer to Girona; however, it later became clear that the discomfort was minor and not a cause for concern.

His return to the squad will depend on how well he responds to treatment and whether he can overcome the physical issues he has been facing.
