Mali Stands Strong and Eliminates Tunisia in CAN 2025!

The Tunisian Football Federation has officially announced the appointment of Sabri Lamouchi as the national team’s head coach.

The former French international, aged 54, has committed to a contract that extends until July 31, 2028. His primary objective will be to rejuvenate the struggling Tunisian squad following their elimination in the Round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations against Mali, as well as the departure of former coach Sami Trabelsi. The Tunisian Football Federation is banking on Lamouchi’s vision to initiate substantial reforms and lay the groundwork for a medium-term reconstruction plan. This summer, he will become the fifth French coach participating in the World Cup, joining Didier Deschamps (France), Rudi Garcia (Belgium), Hervé Renard (Saudi Arabia), and Sébastien Migné (Haiti).

Lamouchi’s Measured Salary

Selected for his clear project and vision for the national team, Lamouchi’s salary is reported to be modest compared to many other coaches at the international level. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to foster a new era for Tunisian football, with hopes of improving the team’s performance on the continental stage and beyond.

As he embarks on this new journey, Lamouchi’s experience and insight will be crucial in addressing the challenges that lie ahead for the Tunisian national team. The Federation’s decision to place their trust in him reflects a commitment to not only enhancing the immediate performance of the team but also ensuring sustainable growth and success in the future.
