Wout Faes has officially joined AS Monaco.
The Belgian international arrives on the Rock on a loan deal from Leicester City. He will don the monégasque colors until the conclusion of the 2025-2026 season. According to the sports daily L’Equipe, the agreement includes an option to buy, estimated between 5 and 10 million euros.
Monaco Seeks Reinforcement
The 27-year-old seasoned central defender is set to address the numerous defensive absences experienced during the latter part of the season. Faes returns to Ligue 1 after a stint at Stade de Reims. Although he has seen limited action this season at Leicester, he has participated in 15 matches in the Championship. With 28 international caps to his name, he brings a wealth of experience to Monaco’s backline.
