Following the match, Rekraki appeared visibly emotional and passionate, sharing his thoughts in a television interview: “I have repeatedly stated my capability to fulfill the dreams of Moroccans by reaching the final and striving for the title.”
He further remarked, “Some have criticized me, lacking confidence in my abilities, yet I tell them it’s alright; the proof is in the outcome. Here we are, having advanced to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after a 22-year absence, and we are nearing the grand dream of lifting the trophy.”
