The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has resolved the ongoing debate surrounding the referee for the upcoming match between Morocco and Cameroon in the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Set to take place tomorrow, Friday, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, this highly anticipated fixture will determine which team secures a place in the semifinals.
Referee Assignment Details
On Thursday, CAF announced the officiating crew responsible for overseeing the encounter. The match will be led by Mauritanian referee Dahan Bida, who will be supported by Angolan assistants Gerson dos Santos (first assistant) and Sancha Lopez (second assistant). Sudanese referee Mahmoud Ali Ismail will serve as the fourth official.
Furthermore, it was highlighted by CAF that in the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) room, Ghanaian referee Daniel Laria will take the lead role, assisted by Tunisian Haitham Guirat as the assistant VAR, with Mauritanian Aboubakar Sar designated as the second assistant for the technology.
